Been working for the Olympics 2012 for the past 3 weeks, and I must say its like going on holiday. Paid accommodation in Chelsea, Tottenham Hale, free meals, and we’re getting paid. Literally just working through the days to get the money and to get to the nights which is almost always great. Met some great people, people from all over the place, Norwich, Birmingham, Wolverhampton and more. What makes it better is that most people are my age and we socialise 24/7. You just couldn’t have a better job. I high-fived the Crown Prince of Monaco. Sat in a damn secret service car and met the King of Greece, and many other royals including princes, queens and more. You couldn’t be having more fun than me working during your summer. Staying up till 4am playing guitar and singing with people you just met, getting lost round Chelsea, using a Barclays bike to explore Battersea park late at night. Meeting Ryan Bailey the 100m American Olympiad in a club, not knowing who he was until having a chat with him about him wearing his accreditation. Watching the sun set on the Thames in Chelsea embankment. Having my hair straightened by Atiya, ending up looking like a brown version of Zayn Malik (hair wise) and more. I still haven’t seen Batman, and I’ve currently got Weetos cereal in my room, with milk in my communal fridge. I’m having fun. A poem is long since overdue but yeah, lemme get my promotion at work out the way first. 14:50 a hour biaaaatchhhhhh. 28672F97 - The stars are but ornaments of the Heavens.
